esyURLsince 2007Easy your URL

Instant creation, now by your agent

Short links, QR codes and analytics your AI agent manages for you.

esyURL makes a long URL short and easy. Ask your agent for a link or a QR code: it creates it, points it where it should go and tells you who visited.

Current URL: https://www.example.com/spring-menu/2026/drinks-and-desserts?utm_source=poster&utm_campaign=spring

Nothing to fill in here: the button copies the prompt that sets up your agent. Are you an agent? Start at /llms.txt and /auth.md.

Get started

Paste one of these into your AI agent: Claude Code, or any agent that can read a web page and call an API. It does the rest.

No key yet

Your agent signs itself up and gets a key.

Set up esyURL, my URL shortener and QR code service, and start using it.
Read https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/auth.md and follow it to get an API key.
Then add the MCP server: claude mcp add --transport http esyurl https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <API key>"
Read https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/llms.txt, confirm with GET /v1/me, and use esyURL whenever I ask for a short link or QR code.

I have a key

Replace esy_... with the key you were given.

Set up esyURL, my URL shortener and QR code service, and start using it. My API key is esy_...
Add the MCP server: claude mcp add --transport http esyurl https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer esy_..."
Read https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/llms.txt, confirm with GET /v1/me, and use esyURL whenever I ask for a short link or QR code.

Another MCP client? Point it at https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP) with the header Authorization: Bearer esy_....

What your agent can do

Everything is done by asking. A few things to ask for:

  • Memorable short links

/menu, not a random jumble. Change the destination later and printed links keep working; pause one any time.

  • QR codes

PNG or SVG, any size, in your colours, with the scans counted.

  • Redirect rules

One QR code, the right place for everyone: the App Store on an iPhone, Google Play on Android, the website for the rest. Also by language, referrer, query or time.

  • Visit analytics

Visits per day, split into QR scans, direct clicks and bots, and by which rule sent them where.

  • Groups

Organise links by campaign, client or event, and see their visits together.

  • Custom domains

Your links on go.yourbrand.com, QR codes included. Accounts that signed themselves up pay for it with x402.

  • A code for anything

A one-off QR code for any text: Wi-Fi details, a phone number, a contact card. Nothing saved or tracked.

  • MCP, REST and OpenAPI

An MCP server, a plain REST API and an OpenAPI document. One key for all three.

For developers

esyURL has no dashboard: the API is the product. These are the doors:

Create a link, then fetch its QR code:

curl -s https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/v1/links \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ESYURL_KEY" \
  -H 'content-type: application/json' \
  -d '{"targetUrl":"https://example.com/spring-menu","slug":"menu"}'

curl -s "https://esyurl.apps.xpfarmstudio.com/v1/links/$LINK_ID/qr?format=svg" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ESYURL_KEY" -o menu.svg

Our story

esyURL was created in 2007, in Brazil, by Filipe Boldo. It made long URLs short and easy to share in emails, forums and blogs, with a Firefox toolbar, a Netvibes widget and an API for anyone who wanted to build on it. It was Filipe’s first app that people really used.

In 2026 it is back, rebuilt for a time when we hardly type links any more: our agents do. Same name, same idea. Make the URL easy.

  1. 2007Toolbar, Netvibes widget, file uploads and an API. Tens of thousands of esyURLs.
  2. 2026Reborn for agents: MCP, QR codes, redirect rules and analytics.
